How accurate is your speedo? – Drive

An exclusive Drive test has shown 93 per cent of new car speedometers are inaccurate.  A five-month study of 60 new vehicles ranging in price from $14,490 to $441,300 showed most speedos measured over the posted limit by an average of 5km/h at 100km/h – well within the Australian Design Rule parameters.
