The Central Magnet School Car Club hit the road to cover 2,300 miles in their 1953 Pontiac Chieftain, winning its division of this year’s Hemmings Motor News Great Race from San Antonio, Texas, to Greenville, S.C.
The Great Race features two divisions – the X-Cup for students no older than 24, and the Rookies adult division. Central Magnet beat two other X-Cup teams to win the division.
