Buffalo was once a serious car town. Some of the world’s greatest cars were manufactured here, hence the Pierce Arrow. On Saturday, June 23, the Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum will be hosting an event (8 AM – 11 AM) that pays tribute to the golden age of the automobile. Racers competing in the Hemming’s Motor News Great Race, a cross-country road rally of antique vehicles took a lunch break at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum Sunday, June 26, 2016 then headed to the finish line in downtown Moline, Illinois.
